About Breda Murphy
Each person’s life and experiences are unique to them and is treated with respect and integrity. My primary focuses are for clients to feel safe, comfortable, and supported in the therapeutic space and to work collaboratively with them as we explore to resolve their issues.
Working in private practice in Blanchardstown, I provide one to one therapy sessions for adults and adolescents. Parents of adolescent clients are invited to join part of the first session when possible. I also provide solution-focused therapy in Pieta House, through the Pieta Way currently working with adults and under 18’s. Alongside my therapeutic work, I am a suicide intervention trainer for STORM (Skills Training On Risk Management) delivering training to front line and key workers. I am also a Student Support Worker in five schools in Dublin and five schools in Cork.
I trained as a Counsellor in the Institute of Integrated Counselling & Psychotherapy (IICP), BA (hons) Working With Children & Adolescents, Dip Counselling & Psychotherapy, BA (hons) Applied Social Studies (Youth Work) NUI Maynnooth, Addiction Studies, NUI Maynooth.
