With a BSc in Psychology and an MA in counselling and psychotherapy, I have developed the specialised skills to support individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Intellectual Disabilities (ID). My current work as an assistant clinical psychologist has allowed me to gain a keen understanding of the unique challenges and strengths of these individuals.

I also enjoy the therapeutic relationships I have developed through my time with individuals who do not find themselves identifying with the ASD and ID population. I have had the pleasure of working with individuals from the ages of 15-70 exploring individual challenges they were facing at the time, including:

– emotional regulation challenges
– personality disorders related difficulties
– thoughts of self-harm or suicide
– sexual abuse
– anxiety-related challenges
– interpersonal relationship difficulties
– depression & bereavement
– academic/career burnout
– self-identity issues
– behavioural activation

Using a person-centered and evidence-based approach, I pride myself in creating a safe and judgment-free space for individuals to express themselves. In my work, I utilise the therapeutic techniques afforded to us by Dialectical Behavioural Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I pride myself in my ability to tailor communication strategies to help clients of all ages, from children to adults, achieve their personal goals and enhance their life skills.
